Intended for children aged 9 to 12, but I suspect many adult fans of Star Wars will want to keep this book handy because it covers all the Star Wars episodes, as well as Roque One, explaining how that one fits in with the Star Wars series. It provides the answers to most of the basic questions by discussing the series, episode by episode. Know your Siths and Jedis at a glance. The photographs are stills from the movies, and they are supplemented by lovely diagrams. Nice handy sized book compared to other Star Wars encyclopedia - most of them from Dorling Kindersley (like this one).
I have been a Star Wars fan since the first movie came out. I bought this for my wife, who is also a fan, but who had forgotten some of the details and characters. She went through it before we went to see the most recent film and it helped her reacquaint herself. I found a lot of interesting information in it also.Lots of fun.
This informative, funny and graphically pleasing book is for the emerging Star Wars fan but also for the hardcore fan (like myself) as well -- filling in interesting details in the films, explaining confusing plot twists and answering questions lingering in the back of any fan's brains. I read the book as I was showing a couple of the film to my daughter and Christian's succinct explanations made it easier for me to answer my daughter's questions. And, of course, she enjoyed looking through the book as well. Bravo. The Force is strong with Christian Blauvelt.
This is an awesome book. Lots of interesting facts, photos, and diagrams. One of my sons is a Star Wars fanatic and retains all of the information he learns. The other son, though interested, has a hard time keeping up, so it is a great book for him to learn more things
It STILL is more complicated as time and "the Saga" goes on, but at least SOMEONE has made a stab at simplification--I was glad to find this volume.

Loved this book! Very well organized
Loved the book, for a SW beginner was just perfect, finally some easy and brief clarifications about the general story.The only thing I did not appreciate, was the order of chapters, I felt more comfortable with story explained not trough the filming dates, but that was not a big issue.
