This book is amazing. But it is for those who believe in a different, REAL christian life. It is not for those who think "oh, God was just ready to take them," or "He is teaching you through your pain." No, it is the way of thinking that the apostles and Jesus taught about in Acts and the Gospels- God's Kingdom here on earth. May this book always be around and may it lead you to Agnes' other books - The Lost Shepherd and her autobiography and so many more. She is a true treasure, a woman after the heart of God, like Smith Wigglesworth, but a woman, and one who explains things SO simple, it is impossible to not believe if you have FAITH.
This is an old book (1947, revised in 1972). Mrs. Sanford's book has been indelibly marked in my soul, and she gives a very beautiful way to pray for healing, which has helped my prayers for healing for others to be answered. Almost like "the secret way to get answered prayer." I bought it three times, gave two away.
This book is amazing. I have struggled my entire life figuring out how to pray and to connect with GOD. I am no longer uncertain that I am connecting with God and he hears my prayers. I read a chapter each morning and practiced my prayers. I can honestly tell you that every prayer has come true and I feel God's peace and radiant presence continually throughout my day. This book is so much more than healing the sick, it is about healing your soul and relationship with God so you can become an effective channel for him to do his glorious work. God Bless Everyone!
This is the clearest, most grounded book I have ever read about turning yourself and your prayers into an instrument for God's healing.I cannot recommend it highly enough.It is a book that reads well on Kindle. Let the light shine through!
I love this book and often recommend it to friends. I first read this book when my walk with Jesus was new and it has impacted me for 40 years, so I keep coming back to it. I have seen God do many things by following the author's "experiments in healing".The only place I take exception with her is in the dealing with demonic oppression. I would never do what she says she has done in that area.The book is to help us find that God's power is all around us. We only need to learn how to connect with it.
I found this book to be interesting for sure. Not being either Presbyterian or Episcopal And only vaguely familiar with there belief systems. I find that there is truth to be found in every belief system. I did find it here in this book. I only gave it three stars because I could not agree with everything. My beliefs have changed over the last few years through study and the leading of the Holy Spirit. I do believe in healing that it has been given to us and it is the will of the Father that we are to be well. I just had a problem with the idea of us being able to "repent" and "atone " for another person's or nations sins. Christ said It Is Finished because It was. He took away the sin of the world. We need to believe that and share the good news so that others can receive the forgiveness provided. I do not doubt that GOD Meets us were we are. I do not doubt that Ms Sanford had these wonderful results in Her life with sharing healing.Would I recommend the book. Yes It is has many good things in it. Seeing our prayers as answered is so true. But I do not agree with other things. You read this book and draw from it what the Father wants you to receive and set the rest aside. As I know it is okay not to agree with everything but never throw it all out because of a few things. We all receive differently and are in different places in our walk. I Wii say that some things I don't believe now I use to. And am sure The Lord is still working in my life and everyone's to get us were he wants us. Enjoy the book.
I have read this book eleven times, if that tells you anything.It is new every time.I bought this copy for my brother, as I was unwilling to part with my own copy. Our mother read this book seven times before she passed.
This is a great explanation of how the power of God works in a person to heal. I have used its method many times and have seen amazing results. I have been in healing ministry for at least 18 years and it grieves me that the method of this book is not disseminated throughout the church world. Agnes Sanford was a hardcore follower of Jesus and she has a lot of testimony of how the power of God worked through her.
