My dad who is 82 has (why I don't know) every Avon bottle ever given to him for his birthday, xmas, and Fathers day. Recently the time came for him to start looking at down sizing (thank goodness) so he wanted to sell his bottles. This book had prices for all of his bottles (about 300 or so) as well as for ones he didn't have. Though the book is several years old it was a big help in pricing out is collection. Very good written descriptions and pictures help in making sure which bottle was which. It also contains avon collections (ie xmas nativity, stautues, mugs ect) Highly recommend this to anyone who has old avon collectables.
I love it. But was disappointed because it did not contain a lot of the items I was looking for,such as the steins. And all the bells. But they are probably listed in another edition. I just have to find it.
Book had a a lot of stickers from Library. Package was really damaged when I received it. Book pages were all bent up. Book was a Christmas present for my father.
This also was a gift I bought for my husband. My husband and I have some Avon things. My mother-in-law worked for Avon for many years. She gave us plates, mugs and other assorted Avon things and we wanted to know what they were worth. The book was very helpful.
The way categories are set up is a little confusing.
I have an huge amount of Avon bottles, and almost every Stein they made, that belonged to my late step-father. After keeping the few that have sentimental meaning to our family, I want to put them on the market. This book is a great resource when it comes to the background information and current market value (in 2008) of these items. I wish there was an update for 2011, but this one is very helpful. Mr. Hastin has done an excellent job putting it together and I would recommend this book to anyone who has or "inherits" an Avon collection.
